Please ask if you’re unsure or if you would like to schedule a brief phone consultation to decide which method of renewal is best for you. Contact Amanda to schedule your free 15-20 minute phone consultation.
The Seekers
I’ve always considered myself a “seeker”-forever curious about the nature of reality and the world in general. And I love to “seek” alongside others who are just as curious about the universe and its many mysteries. You are personally invited to join me and other like-minded folks seeking community in a tranquil nature space to explore all things spiritual, mystical, and magical. As your guide during this hour of fellowship, I support us with readings on various topics, as well as discussion opportunities in which you can participate as much or as little as you wish, and a little forest bathing or drumming may be thrown in!
This gathering is open to all adults and meets one Saturday each month (weather permitting) at a local park. This is free to attend; however, donations are accepted which are distributed to local animal charities and shelters.
Just bring yourself, something to snack on if you like, a journal, water bottle, a yoga mat or blanket, or whatever you need to feel comfortable in the outdoors, and email me to register to let me know you’re coming and I will share with you all the details.
The Seekers welcome you!
Guided Nature Walks
As a Certified Forest Therapy Guide by the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy, Amanda leads 2 ½ - 3 hour guided walks in nature throughout different locales in the region from Spring thru Fall. This outdoor experience is highly inspired by the Japanese practice of “shinrin-yoku,” also known as forest bathing. These forest therapy or nature connection walks often bring a sense of relief from the stresses of everyday life, connect people deeper with nature, and improve physical, mental, and emotional states of health. This is an experience where you will be moving at nature’s pace and will be invited to engage with nature thru your senses and imagination, have opportunities for individual sharing, and will conclude with a tea sharing circle. Please contact Amanda for more information or to schedule a walk.
Retreats and Workshops
Amanda is available for workshops and retreats to explore deeper themes of renewal and healing, from a mindfulness-based approach within a nature-based environment. Please inquire about these possibilities and be on the lookout for upcoming events.
Let's Hike!
On July 26th at 10 am, we’ll meet up at Shakti in the Mountains and carpool to Bays Mountain, Kingsport, TN, for a sojourn on the lakeside trail. Bays Mountain offers so much with its natural beauty and all the creatures found on the land-a not to be missed outing. Click here to register.
On August 16th at 10 am, we’ll meet again at Shakti in the Mountains and travel to Rocky Fork State Park in Unicoi County, to walk/hike along the bustling creek, and enjoy the incredible flora and fauna in this Appalachian cove forest, one of the most biodiverse regions in North America. Click here to register.
For both hikes, please bring lunch, water, and whatever you need to be comfortable outdoors.
In future news-I am planning a day-long retreat at a privately owned creekside cabin on Spivey Mountain, located in Unicoi County, sometime this fall.
